For a while I kept seeing a red firebird trans am parked on the side of the road. This car was for sale and I don't see it anymore so I assume it was sold.
These had the 301 V8 which was basically a double 151 Iron Duke. It was as awful an engine as you are imagining. The Trans Am got a Turbo version which had a hard time lasting the length of the 12 month warranty back then.
