Neato-guido! Holy crap! A show car, parked on the street?! That thing looks like it's brand new. They were great cars. Simple and basic, and yet they had style and appeal -feats which automakers today can't seem to pull off. Ones with the straight six got better MPGs than the stupid little econoboxes do today.

Hey this is my car! ha ha. I'm the second owner and the car is like brand new. The paint was a bad 80's spray over and we had some minor surface rust so last year my buddy Chip worked on the car and tore it down to the studs and had it painted the proper way. New carpet, dash, headliner and more and we are back on the road again!

I'm super honored that my car is on this site. I was looking for reference photos for a part I need when I saw this photo on a google image search. Imagine my surprise to see my Westy named "Stevie" behind my Meteor (named Squeeky).

The car is out for the summer months so I leave it on the street for all to enjoy and see. In the winter months, I store him inside where he can keep his good looks for the next generation to enjoy.

These cars are super easy to work on. My sons helped me work on this car and this car was their first car they ever drove. Mom wasn't too pleased but both of my boys learned to drive on this car and I'm super stoked to share that experience with them.

Back to looking for that shift collar....

Beautiful car! Love the tail lights. I'm partial to fins, I hope to upgrade from a 72 Chevelle and 86 Cutlass to a 59 El Caminos and 61 Caddy someday.. Glad to hear yr keeping her running for the next generation. Many happy miles to you.4
