Spotted a stone's throw from its brother. I love these more and more! Are they not one of the funnest cars you can get for two grand?

Great find. Too bad it doesn't have the dual plane rear spoiler.

I remember seeing these at the New York auto show (NYC) during the 1980s ...…

i hear you can do quite a bit with a turbo 2.3... despite the hardcore following these have picked up over the years, i'd question the logic of owning one vs. a modified fox body. doesn't have to be a mustang if you're opposed to the stigma that comes with them. you could go t-bird, capri, or - if you have that perfect balance of dedication and self-loathing - a grenada. pretty much any of these seem to have more parts availability. i guess it comes down to the superior "european" suspension design, or maybe the cachet that comes from owning an automotive cryptid.

The trick is that CH letters stand for switzerland (Confédération Helvétique), but in Europe it was sell under brand Ford as Escort XR4 Ti.

It was not a Escort in Europe, it was actually a Ford SierraXR4 Ti. Regards from Europe!

Yup, Sierra. Here in Europe we also had Sierra RS Cosworth, first with rear wheel drive and from 1990 with 4 wheel drive.

Ford sierra xr4i. Although in our case (Europe) it was fitted with a 2.8v6. As was its successor the 5 door sierra xr4x4.
