Agreed on the name. The "alphabet soup" names on late model cars are as boring as the vehicles themselves. Polaras, Catalinas, Galaxie 500s.....gone are the days.
Trivia- the 1969 Polara (and big sister Monaco) were the first American cars with Halogen lights as an option....they called it Super-Lite which is another cool name...
Wow! I was just searching pictures of my car and here it is. I've owned this car for 3 years and it is my daily driver. I am the second owner and it has 90,000 miles on it currently.

Could the piece of trim running the length of the body possibly be any more linear? Designed with a very long ruler. Love it!

Galaxie 500s were awesome.
For some reason I think an older person that was in his/her sixties bought this car brand new back in 1973.... I like the taillights.....
