Nice to see some eye catcher on the side of the road early in the morning- probably at the donut place gotten some coffee starting out his/her day. I love the headlights. Chrysler only had them for 61& 62. The 1958–60 Lincoln had those type of headlights as well. Last but not least the final year of the De Soto (1961) also had these headlights.
i photographed this car (or its twin) at the music store across the street from my office not long ago. the owner said he'd had it about six years. he was telling me all about it, then realized his tire was rapidly deflating and had to buzz off for some air. i ran to snap the profile shot, but it was blurry.

Ah this one's a beaut. And amazing that a New Yorker appears here and on "Seattle's Parked Cars" the same day.
When I saw these big Mopars as a kid I always thought they were from the 50s, just because of the extreme styling and chrome.

...and as weird as this car is, it's tame compared to some of the other Mopars of this era! But I love em--not to own or drive but to look at!
