oh, my, that is an old parked car.

amazing setting, and great compositions.

the roof texture made me smile out loud.

You caught someone else photographing it too, and is the woman in the second shot writing a parking ticket?

Beautiful car. Oldsmobile's one-shot attempt at a tailfin revival and the biggest platform the Division would ever build. Little did any of us know that the Automotive Apocolypse (gas crisis, rubber bumpers, downsizing, gadget fetishism, etc) was right around the corner.

Love the originality of this example, right down to the wheel covers and single exhaust. Might need to take a road trip this summer with a few extra $$$ and some "Hey I want to buy your car" notes...

Looks like flow-thru vents on the trunk lid.
Nice condition. Big! 98.

Love that shot of the vinyl roof, what texture. Check out the door gap in the rear shot.

A neighbor of mine had one of these. His was just as nice as this one. Really liked the
quadrophonic stereo radio! I really enjoyed the sound that thing made. There was nothing
like it. Too bad he totalled it driving drunk. He survived and went on to purchase a '63
Dodge 330 4-door sedan which he restored and kept to the day he passed away. Thanks
for the great memories!

Hey Capt. nice to see you're back. As far as you mentioning the stereo system, I kind of recall every time you turn on the radio's in one of these General Motors cars , I would hear a "thump" when the radio would be turned on.
I have much more to say about this car, but yet I don't know what to say-at this point.

Cap'n Gizmo! It's about time you posted again!

Richard- I remember that radio "thump" from my 1970 Caddy. GM factory stereos all seemed to do that and mine had a seek-and-scan feature too. Then one day it went "Thump-thump-hmmmmmmm-blah" and never made another sound after that. :(

Love the low roof, long style of these cars.
A road trip is so awesome in one of these

Really nice full size GM here I think in 71 the 98 Regency was top dog, and then this LS. I like the dual mirrors. Not too common in 71
