Last seen by Tony in 2010 in a more urban setting, the owner also must enjoy stretching all 124 inches of its Fuselage styled legs in the less-cramped-suburbs.

My dad drove Chryslers and Plymouths almost exclusively. The only brand new car my parents bought together was an olive green 71 Newport—what a boat! My mom drove it into the ground and got her monies worth. Thanks Ben!
Yeah Brenden, they were boats alright! I don't think there ever was a better highway
cruiser than a '71 Newport. There was a time when you saw these cars gliding effort-
lessly along every major interstate in this country. Nothing has been built since that
captures that feeling better than a big Chrysler Newport. And seeing this takes me
back to that wonderful time once again.
i was actually looking at that post not so long ago and feeling pretty disappointed in how generally low-res my images were compared with the awesomeness of the car. thanks for snapping it again, bennnn.
Chrysler used the Royal name in the 30s and 40s, dropped it in 51. So this peanut is a revival of the old name, still entry level for Chrysler. Dad had a 41 Royal Club Coupe.
