I don't think that's a stock color, but the car looks awesome. Great to see this thing still rolling, and its owner can bask in the subtle satisfaction of knowing that this long-ignored steed has now become noteworthy and special.

My Cousin Barry got one of these for his 16th birthday. Though not as nice as this one, that thing soldiered on for at least 20 years AFTER my Aunt and Uncle gave it to him. Last I knew,
he was fixing it up for his kids to use! It's amazing how reliability never goes out of style.

Did you get that little Justy there in the back?

What a beauty! (And I'm the guy who usually has no love for Mopars!). Funny memory associated with these: When I was a kid, I lived nextdoor to a fire dept. For a while, they had one of these in their parking lot. It had been in a bad accident. I guess they were going to use it to practice on. I remember poking around the car, and looking inside of it- and laying on floor in front of the rear seat was a poseable rubber Gumby. It made me think that a kid was likely in the car when it was hit; and how traumatic his/her experience must've been- especially seeing his parents badly hurt- as they likely were. I'd just stop and picture the possible scenarios every time I';d go near that car. It always made me very sad; and I credit it with making me a very safety-conscious person from a very young age (I couldn't have been more than 8 at the time). I've retained that memory all of my life (I'm 52 now)...imagine how much more so the kid who was actually in the mangled car (if he even survived).

Wow! That's some story Don! We all have defining moments that shape our lives.
And yours seems to be that car. It certainly seems that this event laid the ground-
work for the man you would become and has served you well. This event taught you
that everything we do in life has consequences--and that's something that many small
boys don't understand but you did. Too bad our young folks today don't understand
this.

Barracuda wheel covers, I believe. Same as the ones on my dad's 65. Maybe they were offered on Valiants too.

I'm a wagon head, and this is as painfully tempting as just about any I can remember. Driving this beauty around town would be a joy and service, lifting the hearts of countless looky-loos.
