How has Dodge managed to make such consistently fugly vehicles for so many years, and still stay in business? I'll bet the cute bow-wow on the grass in the background is mortified!
My BIL had a Prospector with the stepside bed. He had it specially ordered with a 318 V-8 and a 4-speed tranny. It also was a 4X4 model as well. It sucked so much gas that he sold it a year later. As I recall, he had a lot of service issues with it too. That's sad because that truck looked very impressive.
this truck is way better looking than the ford and chevrolet of '79 it all comes down to design. look at the dash and how its congruous with the outline of the windows tailites door cards. the 80s ronald reagan look was awful in comparison. sometimes i wonder why they did it.
That truck was the first vehicle I ever owned! I loved it and had a blast for many years with it. Sadly I had to sell it before I joined the Navy in 98. I see you are from Oregon as well, do you still have this truck? Always been my dream to find her again, but not too many around anymore.

Awesome, awesome truck from when before Dodge started catering mercilessly to the sub 4'' crowd.

That Prospector graphic is BA. Now you have to find a Ramcharger like that if it's possible.

Don: If you think that's bad, have a look at the '61-'71 bodies. That would scare that
poor pup even more!

Yep, my 1969 is one ugly truck. I like it though, Chevy and Fords are a dime a dozen
