This is a suberb example of a super-rare important, as these notchbacks were never officially for sale in the US. This thing is in great shape. Has is been restored? Most of the ones you see have been beat to death. I want one of these cars so badly, but it would rust away fast, as they all do, even in California! As seen on the Bridgetown blog!

Ok VW experts, does this gem have 2 trunks? With the flat engine, it looks like it must have a shallow trunk in the rear.
It's mine... It's a '62 actually, and yes... Two trunks with a type 3 pancake engine.
Wicked cool.

An option you won't see in every meeting here in Europe even when you probably will see some notchbacks.
It was pretty beat when I got it. It's been restored(still in the process)and has been an ongoing labor of love.
