A very classic vintage car, kept in an excellent condition, wish to buy something similar.

Above comment is a spammer.
My uncle had one of these, all the electrics crapped the bed. Damn shame, it's a pretty sharp car.

A friend of mine saw me looking at this one and said, "What, do you just take pictures of regular cars?"

This car looked ahead of its time, IMO.

Why did they have to uglify the front end so much? Why couldn't they just take the Ford Scorpio as it was and just change the badges?

keeping the euro front wouldn't have helped this car. the cladding dates it badly. the tie for best feature is grille opening vs. taillight design. the odd 5-door hatch greenhouse was about as appealing as the contemporary Mercury Sable's which is to say not at all.

I had two of these, one being a running parts car, and I still regret letting them go. It was one of the best driving Euro sedans I've ever driven let alone owned (that includes a W202 Kompressor and a SII Jag XJ6L). I remember the lavish power adjustable rear seats, perfectly supportive all around, hi grade leather, every option from moon roof to trip computer that was via a col isn't face. Aston Martin used the same switches at the time. An airplane style overhead console and laser straight tracking at 90-mph on a cross country road trip in the middle of the night and you would swear you were driving the best car ever built.

... i'm thinkin' this merk was within a 20-block radius of this one... no?
