no comments yet?! Toyota should have never abandoned the quirky styling from this period and the one immediately preceding it. this ke31(or t?) is spoiled by those bumpers. maybe the owner will get some jdm replacements but by the look of the respray (i think the yellow codes for that model were more subdued) and the pep boys wheel covers, probably not. oh well.
I learned to drive on this very model! 4sp, and it and my parent's 5sp hatch back (with shadowkit!!) were "St. Helens Red" - meaning they had heavily damaged paint after the eruptions. Wow. I loved that little sedan, but it eventually died at around 200K miles and my parents traded it for the Worst.Honda.Civic.Ever.
every time i drive by this haunted house i punch myself for not stopping to shoot the matching vw bug that stays in the driveway, but ben took it to the next level.
could you get these 'yotas with a 5-speed? 'cause that would be so wonderful.
These were so common in my high school parking lot, circa 1989. And dreadful to look at. I still hate them, but am a bit nostalgic when I do see one today.

Ugh, those Walmart or Pep Boys wheel covers... damn they are ugly. At least the respray is a sorta 70's color.
It's like a pimply faced teenager, so close to being so cool.
