one of the coolest subie's of all time. they aren't fast but boy are they fun to drive and really fun to wrench on. always love to see another on the road.
As a previous owner of a 92 leggy and currently a 11 wrx, I disagree with comparing them to Toyota's. they have a great driving feel like mazdas. however I love the brats. shame that the Baja wasn't the same.

Like old subes in general, the ones before about 1988. They had quirky character back then. The new subes seem like re-badged Toyotas to me.
1st gen BRATS are the best by far. This one just needs some jumpseats in the back.
