HOLY COW!! now that's a flashy 50's boat that screams look at me. that car is one glorious american cruising machine. I love the tail lights and how massively long it looks from that top 3 quarter shot. I would love to have this as my dd. such a fantastic work of 50's design.
Wonderful work, capturing its beauty and the details. Amazing to think that this has survived. Truly spectacular.
The thought that there are people to whom this car is transportation, well... It's hard to put into words, but it would seem that any such a community or peoples must come from a different planet than my own.
i really didn't give this car a close look when it was posted at first. just too much stuff going on for me to process and give attention, due to being totally consumed with work.
now a week later, i'm totally blown away by this thing. i seriously don't know where to start. this has nothing to do with any modern car, and it actually doesn't really look like any classic car that's saved in my head.
wish i was hanging out on that very appealing street right now, kicking tires as the sun sets and the air cools, holding a mug of coffee.
Wow, I just found this blog and its fabulous! Oddly I just ran across this pic of this model new taken in glorious Kodachrome: sweet. http://www.flickr.com/photos/electrospark/4541660149/in/photostream/

it really is incredible. There's so much going on you almost forget that it's a means of transport. Kind of like a hummer.
Yes. Astonishing.

Wow. What else can I say?
This looks like a Buck Rogers spaceship. It is quite a bit to look at, but I'd still love to chauffered in it!
As GWT said, I would gladly DD this. '58 was by far the best year for GM products.
