Nice patina- pitted chrome etc.... The long hood hides a massive flathead inline 8 cylinder.... tons of torque to move this brown beast. I love the sun visor, the huge bumper guard in the back as well as the 'Buck Rogers' taillights.
I once owned one of these, only mine was a limo. I bought it for $250.00, over my dad's objections. By the grace of God, I was able to find the parts I needed to overhaul most all the main systems. It was the only one I'd ever heard of with an automatic transmission and I think power brakes. My band and I travelled around in style. That thing rode as if you were riding on a cloud. Not to mention all the torque we had to pull our trailer that was full of musical equipment. Man, I still wish i had it today.

........wow.
Stunning shots, especially the "PACKARD" emblem and the tail-light/signal light ones.
totally boss car to cruse around in. I love the lines.
excellent shots, and great eye, looking up behind the visor!

You can bet this looked like a science fiction future machine in 1950. Still looks cool today.
There was one of these garaged next door to us when I was a kid. I remember the day they finally tarted it up! Awesome color on this one.
