IIRC some of these had these quirky electronically adjustable dampers. Pretty exotic for an early 80s car, as the Brits and Americans were only just starting to abandon their Wells & Fargo suspensions...
The Full Circle Service sticker brings back memories. I worked at a Mazda Dealer in the 1980's while going to college. One of the techs there would sign the Full Circle stickers "Gilligan", "The Skipper", etc...
Outstanding photo! This model Mazda is a great car. I owned an ’85, 626 Sport Coupe (DL) in silver w/ blue interior and wish I had it today. No mechanical problems. With multi-adjustable “manual” cloth drivers seat (very comfortable), 3 position shock adjustment, 5 speed, 2.0L engine with very good torque, by my experience… the best 2 liter I’ve ever driven, excellent handling, (this car would take I-90 exit / entrance ramps at interstate speeds without any problems or wheel squeal) 55 MPH and it had one of the lowest drag coefficient’s of it’s day! Yes, the alum wheels helped with that. The solid red rear reflector / tail lights looked nice. I have driven hundreds of cars and this is in my top 2. Scotty.

Can those wheels be anymore 80's?!
Somehow the weird wheels resonate with a lot of other '80's Japanese tin. I like how tidy and well kept it is. No doubt a fun driver.
Amazing wheels.
Amazing Mazda.

80's 626 coupe in dealership floor condition.....wow. Love those wheels.
I owned ALOT of this gen of 626. An 85 hatchback, an 84 4dr, an 85 4dr, an 87 hatchback, and an 86 GT coupe... like THIS style.
That 626GT was FAST... what a sleeper, I roasted an 89 Lincoln Mark VII LSC at a light.
Fun car... but it went thru slave cylinders like toilet paper. LMAO
