great little cars, they peaked my interest when I saw one in a driveway as a young lad. I didn't find out what it was till much later in life. I remember it was red and it had the Le Car sticker in the side. to this day it still fascinates me. great find.
I love these. So neat looking. I remember being a kid in the mid 80's and seeing one of these a couple blocks away from my home rotting in a driveway in Sacramento. It seemed fairly new back than I was always confused why it had been sitting. It looked at that point as it hadn't moved in years. I wonder if these were really hard to get parts for here in the US?
Owned one once. Mine was cooler (in more than one way) for its vinyl folding sunroof. A most interesting automotive experience. Not all good though. Durability was lacking.
not to be a kill joy for those who love the "le car" but I used to say "le junk" after I heard its reports in Consumers report. Althought it reminds me of a cute college student working in a hospital that drive one.

LeGeorge!
It's a shame that this car didn't get the love that it deserved. It would've still been running smoothly if it got some needed parts in time.
i don't really consider a non-running le car to be anything remarkable, but i had to express my approval of the first comment.
anon, i don't know who you are, but where have you been all my life?
