OMG!!! I love these things soooo much. I just saw one yesterday only it was the 2 liter model. one of the neatest sport compacts I have ever laid eyes on. the egg shaped body and the weird pod headlights are it's best parts. the egg shape follows other things on the car too. I remember seeing them all about when I was younger now they are almost nowhere. so rare nowadays, God, I wish I had one. Ironically, the 1600 is probably rarer than the 2000, all the ones I have seen have been nx2000's. great little car.
my room mate in college had a burgundy colored two liter with about 180k on the clock. super fun car to drive, very forgiving and easy to read on it's narrow tires. the engine felt way torquier than it really was as these things weighed nothing. great gearbox too.

I'll see your Zephyr and raise you an NX, Tony.

deeeelicious! Lost jellybean classic, love it, right down to the quirky stripes on the hood, original plastic wheel coves too?
This is "visual entertainment" big time.
These were pretty rare when they were new, is that right? I see a *magenta* one in about this condition on my block now and then.
Oh yeah I saw that one on Google Maps from orbit.
doubling down on NX.
but seriously folks. irresistible little blorp of a pocket rocket. are these as "sporty" as they look?

My first car was a NX... It was a T-Top... How I miss it. I wonder why they don't make cars anymore with T-tops?!
NX....I had almost completely forgot about these. Absolutely reeks of early 90's, in a good way. Awesome find.
