Man, I've never seen one of these, and you guys keep coming across 'em. Excellent find. These have the wackiest silhouette, and that front rock guard is pretty wacky too. But who can't love these? These old 4WD vans are awesome!
^ Lucky Canadians have lax grey import standards compared to the US. They can import JDM cars as long as it's 15 years old I believe and given Portland's location it's not a surprise that many cars from Canada are found there. I hate our strict import laws!
@ anon 2, this thing has British Columbia plates so it's from Canada. I always thought these things were cool, they are like a rugged truck and a van all mixed into one. Cab forward vans gotta be real fun to drive especially one this high. Those BFG all terrain's are a nice touch, and the yellow rallye fogs are an awesome accessory. this van radiates Coolness.
Yeah when I made it to Vancouver Island I fell in love with them, and had to see if I could have one in the states. Alas my heart was broken when I learned I could not.

Awesome paintjob, love the wheels and lettered tires as well.
Was this one licensed in the state?
