It reminds me of the crazy motorbike and car modding style in japan called bosozoku. that's gotta be rare even for Oregon, I wonder where the owner found it?

I really wish this had the Gemballa graphics, for some reason not having them makes me question its obvious authenticity. I suppose this might be a best of? Or a wackiest of. also: if it's not authentic then someone went to great lengths to recreate the color-matched red piped interior... the gauges don't look like gemballa units unless this is an early car.
who would tackle making reproduction spoilers, body panels and mirrors for a car this rare?
someone please find me an avalanche registry or some other way to trace this car's provenance.
this is a good website for anyone who wants to learn more about them. http://www.1000sel.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=57&Itemid=49 the later ones actually had rear view camera's instead of mirrors, so if this one is real, it is an early model 1985. there were only 13 made and each had their own custom touches different from the others so this one may very well be real. Very interesting piece of machinery.
Great find! And Alaska plates wow! I agree that LOGICALLY it is authentic. There's just too much going on inside-out to have replicated accurately. About the instruments (that someone noted they're standard 911 instead of the special Gemballa ones). One reason is as correctly stated that these cars were made-to-order so the original buyer might have liked to keep the normal Porsche Turbo gauges (calibrated to 200 mph though..). The OTHER explanation is that the crazy Gemballa electronic (80s tech..) gauges stopped working and the owner had nowhere to go to fix them. So replaced them with standard items.
So I just spotted this car today (11/24/20) at the local Porsche dealership in Anchorage. Looks like it just sold. I didn't take too close a look at it, as I wad passing through in a hurry. But it's a curious beast to say the least!

It's from Alaska? Ten months out of the year it'd be impossible to find where you parked it.
wow talk about rarity! Gemballa porsches are almost impossible to find! Love those deep dishes wheels... And that too big wing is funny.
