Never seen a Chevy with rear lights like that before. Cool! No matter what the trim, these 60s american station wagons always look like a muscle wagon. Love that big loop bumper in the front. Great find!
Best friend had a 1969 Chevy Townsend wagon, which is one step removed from the Kingswood, equipped with an unstoppable 327 under the hood. The thing was a tank but was a very classic ride. Those over-arched wheel wells are a great design.
Thanks for the nice words guys! I saved this car from being hacked up for parts. Only had 35k on it! It's a 53k now. It was bought by a pastor, so it was really just driven to church on Sundays! It'd been sitting for years after he stopped driving it. My wife bought it for me as a birthday present, I had one in the 90's and it got stolen. This wagon is pretty sweet, L78 motor, posi rear, A/C, power disc breaks, 3rd row seat. I've done some work to it, think it looks much better now. Body and paint are next. I love this car! You'll probably see it parked in that same spot soon. I shop there all the time. Keep up the awesome work Tony and Ben, this blog is my favorite!
This is actually the car from my childhood. I can give you more of the history on it if you want. It was purchased brand new by my parents a couple of years before I was born. Would love to see it and talk about it's history.
I know it becasue I was the one who cut out the rust spots on the quarters when I was in high school.

Wow, a real survivor barebones Kingswood. Absolutely awesome find.

Sweet ride! I would totally drive that. There's a guy near me with a '70 Kingswood loaded up with a 396. Yum!
Virgin Suicides?

What a bold choice. This type of vehicle would be king of the road rage game, no way you're getting messed with here.
You should see the Aussie kings wood....looks like a Monte Carlo wagon.
