Not sure this is an algae-based patina. Looks like the car was stolen some time in the 70s, then sprayed with primer all over by someone who was in a hurry and only masked the windows.
Of course, I have no way of knowing if that is what happened.
In any case this car is now in a wonderful state of patinization and the finish is inspiring.
