that grille looks different from all the other ones I've seen, they all usually have the starsky and hutch style grille. did ford have 2 different grilles for this year?
This stripe would have been added later. The official S&H cars sold by Ford were only red and only in '76. I do remember seeing many non-red Torinos with the stripe added back in the day. It might have even been a dealer add-on....they would do anything. But when this car was built in '74, the S&H series was not yet out.

I'd forgotten that Ford did the Starsky and Hutch stripe on non-red Torinos.
Now all we need is an action shot of it tailsliding out of an alleyway, crashing through some conveniently placed cardboard boxes.

^ On the right track, but they had different Torinos. The S&H cars were Gran Torino Sports. This is a base '74 Torino.
Those rims are killer & it's great to see one that isn't Red.
