This is the only US car which was actually quite common here in Helsinki (Finland) in late 60s (when I was a kid, long time ago), the other ones were too expensive and this had room for 6, so it was used as taxis and large family car for well-to-do.
Of course with four doors and straight six with manual gearbox, but basically same car.
I don't know of the price of this in US at that time, but I can believe it was on the lower end, if not bottom.
We had a 64 Valiant in the family in exactly the same colour!! (but it was a non-Signet and a 4-door) Boy does this bring back mem'ries. Thanks so much for posting this ...
Had a buddy in High School with one - he kept trying to get me to buy it from him, but I was stuck on my '66 Mustang. This looks in better condition than his was 25 yrs. ago.
I too, had one. 64, 273 2Bbl, 4 speed, big Hurst stick, factory reverbrator on radio with floor control switch, bucket seats. Really cool car. Would love to find it but was probably scrapped after I traded up to my'66 Corvette. Oh well.

Always loved the front end on these. Black steel rims are always awesome.

Those black steelies make it look even better. Awesome grill and headlights too.
