Saab was straight killin' it with alloy wheel options back then. What's the fender emblem say?
"99 EMS", most likely. (99 L or GL on the respective models)
Apparently PDX is the place to find 3-doors! I'm probably driving the last 99 coupe here in Salem, tho I used to see an orange one nearby.
That 2nd shot is frightening. Looks like that small-manhood mobile is heading right towards the ol' Swede.
I think the EMS also is a -78, with big sidemirrors, big sidelights and black in middle of the bumpers.
The discerning swede eats thai food, no doubt quoting Merleau-Ponty to his pianist wife over the red bean ice cream.
Hatchbacks were '78 and later in USA.
@Gardner, hatchbacks (called Wagonback in USA) were as early as the 75 modelyear. I have a november-74 delivered 99 LE Wagonback. This silvergrey however is an M78. The only year of the EMS version to be as hatchback, and only sold in North America.
