I have to say, this attempt to fancy-up a LeBaron is pretty pathetic. Frankly, I find a standard LeBaron convertible from this era a more attractive car than this incongruous amalgamation.
I'm amazed that any K-Car related designs made it into the 90s! I'd be very interested to know the primary demographics that bought what I think looks like a Granny car with a Cosworth engine.
It was the age of Yuppie imports. This one probably appealed to the older divorced male pipe-smoker wearing Miami Vice penny loafers and a pastel sports jacket with the sleeves rolled-up.
Actually, the TC was designed first, They were not successful in large part because the LeBaron was introduced first. I don't think any parts are interchangable, despite the similar looks. Look under the hood and at the interior, and you will see major differences. No rear seat in the TC, for example. -Garrysr
