Wow, an incredibly clean example. It's hard to believe such a modern looking car is actually 29 years old.

Which reminds me. When are you going to shoot the 85-89 3rd gen Accord?

I don't know, this looks like an 85 to me... Do I see a third brake light in the window?

I loved noticing the lack of side markers, and that made me think this might be the first year of this generation.

Might Honda have been ahead of the game on the 3rd brake light?

And obviously the note was not there when I took most of the photos. I've actually been sitting on these for about a year, wondering if it was worth posting. Then I drove by recently and saw a note under the window, and I knew that was the sign that it was time to drop this thing.

Should have gotten an updated profile too, because it showed evidence of one of the big neon "tow me" stickers being recently
scraped off.

What is it about notes under the windshield that makes me so intrigued? Maybe because it's our only window into one of the car's stories?

ABSOLUTELY worth posting! This may be the cleanest 2nd generation Accord I've ever seen. And the trunk rack blows me away!

The 1982-83 models has the extra side-markers on the side, and a different grill. This is a 1984-85 model.

This is not an '82 (or an '83 for that matter).

1984 was a slight refresh, the key identifiers here are the shape of the turn signals next to the headlights (larger and slightly more rounded), and the all-red taillights (the 82/83 models included orange turn signals).

interesting, anon. the taillights do appear to have the orange turn signals, according to my eyeballs.

This is a 84 or 85 Accord. On the 82/83, the grille slants inward like the old BMW's. Also, the bumpers on the 82/83 have accordion-like sections at the corners.

This is a 1984/1985 Honda Accord. Looks fantastic! Love these old cars that are so rare to see today.

This is an 1984-85, with the more streamlined grille, headlight bezels and corner lamps. The 1982-83 had black bumpers with ribbed corners, a slightly taller, wider grille and bezels.
