The b18 engine was introduced in 1962 in the Amazon 121,122s and was replaced by the b20 engine in 1969! The Amazon GT/123GT was in production between 1967-69 Find out more about the Volvo Amazon at the Swedish Volvo Amazon Club: http://www.amazonklubben.se

This takes me by surprise. I love nearly all Amazons, regardless of how many doors they have or the length of their roof; bone stock, over-restored, hot-rodded or weary, they just generally do it for me.
But seeing the shaved door handles & trim, and despite its otherwise fantastic wagon-y appeal, makes this the one I don't love. It leaves me cold & distant, like a Bergman film. Or lutefisk. Something along those lines.
Ah! My Volvo has been spotted! This is a 1968. It's defiantly not a soulless drive. Currently it's getting a new engine, so be on the lookout for my 142 instead.
All the people with negative comments, if everyone liked the same thing, we'd all be driving model T's around still. I built this car for me and didn't look to anyone else for inspiration. Sold it to a co-worker several years back and he has since sold it again. Not sure if it's still in Oregon or not but was pleasantly suprised to see it on the web!
I get such a kick out of those negative comments... They never even bother me anymore, my stuff is so weird and Frankenstein and unique, no matter what I build. I love that, and that's all that matters. My girl and my friends rock crawl with pride and fear and sometimes loathing until they get over the pucker moments, LOL... And every single time, they all have a smile on their face. What the hell is wrong with people? Bunch of uptight, judgemental, conformist societal succubus'! Hahaha. .. all that said, I freaking love this thing, my girl and I both have so much respect for the beautiful work you had done! #builditforyou ! #hatersgonnahateaintersgonnaaint !

I'm not much for Cal-look VWs, either.
Kafka's volvo ? Or maybe Neitzche's ?
I was the first post and although it doesn't kill it for me, i agree elvis, the shaved door handles are quite unfortunate.
Freaking badass.
Could care less about Volvos, but om nom nom.

The shaved handles ruin it, and the wheels are totally out of place.
I built this car back in around 2001-2002.
Thanks for all the people with positive comments!
