Hudson innovated the 'unit-body' (unibody)design- you stepped 'into' the car instead of up. The rusty engine block is a V-8. This car (the Commodore '6') ran a 308ci I-6 engine. Hudson only offered V-8's in '56 and '57. Sad to say- those cars were super ugly. This was the brown car in 'Driving Miss Daisy'. This was the the terror of Nascar in the early '50's. Go figure.

They also had a Commodore 8. It had a straight 8. I-8.
