That profile looks exactly like a Mustang. It's like they didn't even try to disguise that it's just a Mustang with new sheet metal and a 3-inch longer wheelbase. I see no difference!
I'll take (functioning) hidden headlights every time! Although I'm not sure I like the look of the longer wheelbase, these must be vastly less well appreciated than their horsebrother.

not sure what i'd choose, if forced at gunpoint to drive either a mustang or a cougar.
but anyway, exquisite light here, and looks bone stock original, down to the wheel covers.

That's a 1968, not a 1967. Side marker lights were federally required starting in 1968, and this car has them.
