Jason is an OPC regular and one of my best Corolla friends in Portland. I've been eagerly looking forward to documenting his te28 since we started this blog.

This is definitely one of the coolest cars I've ever seen. With a newer 3TC swap and SuperTrapp muffler, it sounds angry like any Japanese nostalgic should. He's also running a 5 speed transmission and wood grain interior from his former te27 SR-5, LSD from an AE86 GTS, and Supra seats (he has nice period correct set in storage).

More to the point, this thing has got to be a blast to drive.
This is the jap version of the hunting wagon and infinatly cooler than the volvo p1800. Right on. Those wheels are RAD.
1973 Toyota Corolla 1600 Deluxe Station Wagon, light green color
I may be the original owner of this car, although not 100% sure on that.
Bought it new in 1973 in Champaign or Mattoon Illinois. A friend installed a Sears AM/FM radio, having to drill the upper quarter panel for the antenna.
Drove it cross country through Canada and back to IL through the States.
Left the US for 14 years leaving the car with my mother who drove it only minimally only to keep it running.
In 1987 drove it to San Francisco where in 2002 I traded it for a right rear tail light assembly for my (then new) 2002 Mazda Miata SE.
Pepe the garage owner with whom I made the trade told me he sold it to someone living in the Haight-Ashbury area. Cruised the neighborhood, but never actually saw it.
Missing one hubcap, carburetor hadn't worked for some years. Everything else, including the heater(!), was fine even after 29 years. Incredibly low mileage as well.
Loved that car.
On closer inspection, I don't think that this little lovely was mine. I really wanted it to be, though!
Hey Judith, this is Jason, I didn't see this before, I don't know if you've got your ears on. I bought this car about 16 years ago in Portland. Original white paint, the same as my first car: a '73 Corolla sedan, from (coincidentally) my aunt Judith. So, it means a lot to me. But that would be so cool if you could find your old car.
