what an odd choice for a collectible. i always wondered if/when we'd see another checker on the road.from the c-pillar forward, it's indistinguishable from the wagon version!the face is fantastic... hard to believe it's a '78, but that bumper is a helpful clue.
Very stout looking car. Always wanted to drive one.
To me these got a little less cool over the years, because they didn't ever change the body even into the 80s.
Checker had plans to redesign the Marathon platform when GM introduced the FWD X-body.
