the profile on these never looked obviously beautiful to me, nor particularly nimble, with the full-size trunk and hood and pillarless window joint, though it's certainly distinctive and fun to look at. bumpers don't even matter here, the thing is so odd.
I've always loved the look of this car....so beautifully proportioned and delicately elegant. This car is a landmark design, although the heavy rubber bumpers of later models destroy the balance of this car.

CS has same styling elements as NSU Prinz and VW Karmann Ghia 1500 slighly earlier. "Odd" applies, someone might say "weird". :)

But I like this kind of styling and I couldn't afford that kind of BMW so I bought that kind of VW instead. :)
