I think I could look at any angle of this car, forever. Especially that side profile.

crazy find. i'm gonna edit this with a new tag, inspired by this post: "nice rack."

I'm pretty sure I've seen this one driving around Tualatin. Beautiful car.

Hmm, this was shot in St Johns. It doesn't look like much of a daily driver to me, but I would love to see one of these out driving around!

Not to be nit-picking, but I feel obliged to correct you here. The VW Typ 1 was designed by Dr. Ferdinand Porsche, but the 356 was in fact designed by Dr. Porsche's son 'Butzi' (although he, admittedly, also was named Ferdinand).

We really appreciate those details, so don't hold back. Feel free to comment anywhere you see a correction can be made. How'd you find our blog? Have you clicked the 356 tag and seen the rest?

Man, this reminds me I really need to do some more editing on these photos or go reshoot this on a nicer day.

I came across your blog via a swedish equivalent, bilspanaren.blogspot.com, who'd linked to you. Right now I'm in the process of going through all your old posts.
I love pictures of, well, old parked cars, and it's interesting to see what those cars might be in different parts of the world. What strikes me the most are the large numbers of French cars. I didn't know that old Peugeots were so common in the US that one on a regular basis stumbles upon them.

Ben - that's not correct, "Dr." Porsche's son was named Ferry, and he wasn't responsible for the 356 design - that man's name was Erwin Komenda.

Butzi was Dr. Porsche's grandson.

Oops, I meant that comment to be directed at biltrafik.
