I have the same exact car. 1981 Toyota Corolla, Brown, 4-door. Still in good condition. Still runs. Purrs like a kitten and drives like a race car. This is one totally awesome car.
My first car, as well--tootsie roll brown. I inherited it from my folks and drove it through high school and first two yrs of college. I was devastated when a woman ran into me and totalled it. Definitely my favorite of the cars I've owned.

FYI, this TE72 body style only got the 1.8...until 1983, the only year it got the luke warm 4-AC.
But I still would love to get an 83 for the ease of the 4AGE swap. I think the bottom ends don't even need to be changed?

my first car looked exactly like this. i always thought it looked like a "tootsie roll" on wheels.
